2024 ... Please Stand By ...
Planting done but dry days to cut hay, who knows yet
| « Welcome  |  Contact Us |
Thank you for your interest, pretty much repeat of 2023: just waiting for an obvious dry spell, not that it matters much. Just banging our head against the wall mowing, raking and giving away grass hay ... and now that there are spotty rains ... well, whenever, at least we know we won't kill it off mowing too dry

UPDATE: May 13, 2024

To early (maybe). Just know it is all FINALLY in the ground (first time at least, hopefully last time 2024 per usual)

Sceptical Assumptions follow

  • Plant (some) beans first: weird fealing but better then doing nothing waiting for safe corn planting to start. Oddly I think it works (a late frost one day may change my mind...but for now herd mentality rules)
  • Rural power is more schetchy then third world (been there to compare) but mostly the weather assumptions are holding (new fiber Internet NEEDS power I can't hack power like DSL) despite all the routers on backups no help
  • I know enough May 5 planting date that IF IT goes like last year (there is a HUGE ASSumption only 5 days in), we are looking at October 1 black layer
  • As I am less inclined to use X (the dead bird upper right) and chasing cows all over the world is becoming as less common as cowboys now days (that boat done sailed, litterally, seen almost everywhere worth going...most now a war zone litterally too). AND although we WILL give it a good try (plenty of future cruise certificates left!)

POINT IS we have MAD SKILLS (some people fish) so for now (maybe) Da Dirt is our home brew alternative to Facebook & Twitter running on our black box. As the Russian and China attempt to burn my virtual homes down, so far a fail, they won't (easily) get my dirt! what could go wrong playing in the kiddy pool sandbox that DOES NOT have guns and biometric sensors like AFF on WestILMall.com here (Just a ton of ring security and crap for rural power)

It is something to do while we wait for enough Degree Growing Days (GDU) or replant! :(
